Back to Cadboro Bay
Back to Cadboro Bay after a quick stop to pick up crabs
Would you look at that tops speed 12 Kts!! I told you she was going through the water like a dolphin!
After just a couple of hours the crab trap was plugged full of crabs. I had a hard time lifting it over the safety netting. I won't tell you how many I kept but I managed to trade my neighbour for a couple pounds of Starbucks coffee and feed the family.
The auto-helm wasn't working so I brought it home with me. (Looks quite serious. Not sure if I can fix it.) I attached the thimble on the end of my primary mooring line directly to the bridle since I dropped the shackle off the deck at Chatham. When I replace it I'm also going to use the stainless snap-clip and shackle Kevin gave me to quickly secure the mooring while I screw around with the new shackle. It's a pain!
A mess o' crabs
Homeward bound as the deck shoes dry in the dwindling winter sunshine
