Back to Caddy Bay
For some reason my tablet choose to reboot as I was entering the channel. All times have been corrected.
After unloading the crew, I started the engine and the water alarm wouldn't shut off. This has been an on-going, occasional problem. Since I was just down the road from Gartside Marine, Tom suggested I stop by there and ask what they thought.
The mechanic on duty suggested it sounded like a defective sensor but since the office and parts department was closed I should be OK simply removing the lead from the sender and carrying on. As long as there was water discharge, everything should be OK. That's what I thought too.
On our way back to the boat Tom suggested he might even have one I could use. He did, it worked and I left.
Despite bucking the tide, I made the trip in 3H45'. There was no wind and so the sail cover didn't come off for this trip either.
Upon arriving in Cadboro Bay, I couldn't find the crab trap. Either someone picked it up or the detergent bottle I was using as a float, filled up with water and sank. Oh well, considering I've had that trap since I was a kid, it doesn't owe me anthing.
