To Chatham Solo
I don't know how this bloody chartplotter determines max. speed but I can assure you there's no freakin' way T2 has EVER reached 10 kts!
I had every intention of sailing but in the end I didn't even take the sail cover off. Motored to Chatham Island and dropped the anchor. Enjoyed some real coffee and spent the next couple of hours installing the Taylors kerosene furnace.
I was the only boat at Chatham and it was great. (Once I got comfortable with the fact that I wasn't dragging.)
Enjoyed lunch of chipotle salmon sandwiches. I had called Barnucka earlier and he told me he was going to brush off his hull. I thought he was going to beach Inkla on Jimmy Chicken Island so I cruised by there on the way home but he was at anchor in Oak Bay.
Had a shattering experience upon arrival at my buoy. I missed the damn thing twice and while I was running back to the cockpit for another pass, my god damned cargo shorts caught the corner of the companionway door and shattered the plexiglass. Will replace with plexiglass but in the meantime will use plywood so I can lock her up.
