Arrived to find my new mooring bridal had chafed quite badly in the first gale of the season, last week. Will have to switch back to chain.

I had arranged to meet mom and dad at RVYC to offload the cushions.

Engine was hard to start as is normal when it's very cold.

I arrived at RVYC visitor's dock about an hour before they were to arrive so by the time they got there, I had already off-loaded the cushions.

Invited them on board for a hot cup of coffee. Had the furnace on so it was cozy.

Saw the all new Zig Zag at the club. Dad and I raced against this old wooden Thunderbird back when McBride owned her. She was my neighbor on a mooring buoy for the past couple of years. She was certainly showing her age and had much rot and in disrepair (although the current owner raced her).

Anyhow she was taken to John Booth's shop where he performed a miracle. He removed the cabin and much of the deck, moved the mast back and basically turned her into an over-sized dinghy (with a lead keel).

Galvinized steel rop bridal. Only lasted 2 months and 1 gale.
