Transmission worked, Not-o-helm worked. Main went up the mast without sticking. A perfect first sail of the year. The only thing that could have been better is to have a bit more wind.

Sailed under main alone. Tested the Not-o-helm. It works great even under sail. I built the Not-o-helm after my Autohelm stopped working. They want $200 to fix it or $450 for a new one. The autohelm is a compass driven robotic arm that attaches to the tiller and steers the boat. The Not-o-helm is basically a couple of pieces of wood and some aluminum and stainless fittings. There was some oil discharge in the bilge but that is probably from all of the oil soaked rags on the floor of the engine compartment following the transmission job. I must remember to get rid of those.
