Kid's first cruise
Tania, Barnucka, Rio, Havana, India, Me
T2 waiting for crew at Tsehum Harbour loading zone
No wind. Moved from alongside Tom to the Tsehum Harbour loading zone. (Very tight maneuvering). We loaded the kids, cooler and a mountain of supplies onto T2, attached the kid's lifelines and set out for the Spit on the kid's very first cruise! They were very excited.
Barnucka joined us so we had one adult per child and it worked out splendidly. 45 minutes after leaving Tsehum Harbour we arrived at the Spit and tied up to a Parks Branch mooring buoy. With the cacophony of excited screams, questions and comments from the children it must have been pretty hard to miss our arrival.
Barnucka, me, India, Havana, Tania and Rio on the beach at Sidney Spit.
Havana collecting shells on the East side of the spit.
I rowed Tania and the kids to shore and then returned for Barnucka and the supplies. We spent the next couple of hours exploring the beach, playing in the ocean, collecting shells and having fried chicken, corn on the cob and fresh watermelon. The sun shone, the children frolicked and it was mostly stress free for the adults. All in all a great first cruise for them.
Heading back to Trouper II for the short voyage back to Tsehum Harbour.
