Princess Bay, Portland Island
Wanting to take advantage of the ebb tide, I left Glenthorne Passage at first light. (Or close enough). I had told Gina that I was aiming for a 10:00 pickup from Van Isle Marina. I updated her on my new arrival time of 08:12. I told her I'd check in at Vector Yachts about my upcoming haul out on July 12th. Alas they were closed but soon enough Gina and I were en route to Princess Bay, Portland Island.
I was a little dumbstruck at the number of boats in Princess Bay. I think there were around 20, which is more than I've ever seen. Gina and I enjoyed a walk half-way around the island in the morning. We walked along the East coast, exploring Arbutus Point and Royal Bay, before cutting back across the middle of the island for lunch.
After lunch we took Skully to Shell Beach for the afternoon and enjoyed lounging on the beach and looking for shells. We didn't have to look far obviously.
