Port hand rail before sanding...

I sanded the hand rails using a 300 Watt inverter and my 2A palm sander. Worked like a charm, although I had to run the engine the entire time. Still it saved me a LOT of elbow grease.

Just have to finish sanding the areas where the sander couldn't reach and then apply spar varnish. Looks great and will look even better when they're all varnished up.

On a major bummer note: I shattered the touch screen on my Asus tablet so don't have a chart plotter until I replace it. Guess I shouldn't have carried both my tablet and a 10 lb. fishing weight in my backpack at the same time....the fishing weight won that battle.
