Sailing with dad and Barnucka
Barnucka, Dad and me.
SW 10-15. Sunny
Finally got dad out on the boat again. First time since last summer. He's definitely a fair weather sailor. Not the guy who would sit out in the pouring rain for 5 hours hauling the family to exotic gulf island destinations for 'summer fun' that I remember.
He really enjoyed himself as we grabbed the fresh Southwesterly and railed over. While Barnucka and I wore life jackets, dad was content with his bike helmet. I guess It could have kept his head out of the water....if he had his chin strap done up.
I thought Barnucka was wearing a life jacket in solidarity with the example I was setting for dad but when I thanked him later he told me he was just cold. That's why he was wearing it. God we laughed!
With a steely eye, the Admiral surveils the surrounding waters in search of pirates.
