Heavy fog rolled in just after dropping my brand new crab trap at photo 8 above. Hoisted repaired Genoa and had an exciting sail in the fog for almost an hour before dropping the sail and picking up the trap.  Scott Hofer gave me the trap because I told him I had lost mine last Friday when he and his brother, Greg came out. Very nice.

It's a skookum trap. Collapses and fits nicely in the starboard lazaret. I added a couple of heavy shackles to keep it in place. When I hauled it in after about an hour, I had never seen that many crab in a trap before in my life. Most undersize (they can't escape through the netting) and females (which are out of bounds) but brought home a couple of nice sized Dungeness and one Red Rock Crab.

Like some sort of gothic horror novel, the mist enclosed T2 like a cold, dead fist.

There must have been at least 2 dozen. Mostly small and a lot of females.
