Sailing by Not-O-Helm

Sunny SW 10 Kts.
After washing the dishes from the previous two weekends spent working on the transmission, I raised the main sail and genny and spent the next couple of hours enjoying a wonderful sail. I buzzed Cattle Point and Willows beach before hardening up and beating through Baynes Channel into Haro Strait. The Not-0-Helm worked flawlessly under full sail. The rig was trimmed just right allowing the Not-O-Helm to maintain course. She'd come off the wind a few degrees before gently correcting position. It was mighty impressive.
With snow capped Mt. Baker in the background and a near cloudless day it was truly super natural. I returned to my mooring after using up the last breath of wind, capping a perfect day on the water.

Not exactly the shot I was after. I laughed despite myself when I saw this.

The Not-O-Helm taking care of business under full sail!

On port tack, bound for Baynes Channel. Chatham Island to starboard.

Transiting Baynes Channel with San Juan Island (Washington) in the distance.

Approach 29791 on pain of death...

Out of wind and out of time. A pefect day on the water.
