What cargo ship?!
Cargo ship navigating without a chart plotter.

Barnucka and I spent the day enjoying the sunshine and the steady South Westerly breeze, out in Juan De Fuca Strait. It was amazing. There's not a lot of snow on the Olympic Peninsula but Mount Baker stood out in brilliant relief against a deep blue sky.
We sailed through the shipping lanes, bound for Washington State but eventually turned back. And that's where we ran into the cargo ship. I was tracking our progress through the shipping lane on the chart plotter and relaxed when we were clear but apparently the cargo ship captain's chart plotter wasn't working because he passed us on our bow anyway.
Having narrowly avoided destruction we returned to Cadboro Bay after an incredible day on the water. What a great sail!
