Shuttlecock 1007

Shuttlecock under sail
Running under full sail
Broad reach
As she sits today
Great lines
Head sail furler!
Forward hatch over v-birth. Far brighter inside than T2.
Huge cockpit. I remember missing that going from Sea Jay to T2.
She just needs a good cleaning. Top side AND bottom.
It's been nine years since I've seen a dry bilge.
Looking aft, under the cockpit. There is a huge drawer that pulls out for storage.
Port quarter-berth. Battery.
Starboard quarter-berth. Although I didn't notice at the time, a sink pulls out.
V-berth and head (aft of mast)
Possible location of future galley. Notice storage drawer.
Cockpit with drop boards on bench.
Port lazarette. This is where the outboard goes. You can swing it up and clear of the water and best of all, it doesn't hang off the stern of your boat.
Starboard lazarette. Check out the crab trap!
Looks like I'll be hanging on to this little cutie for a while.

Body

I had been meaning to row out and leave a note on Shuttlecock. She's been moored not far from where Trouper 2 used to be for the last few years. There have been almost no sailboats for sale locally, in fact I've only seen one other. The ol' woody listed elsewhere here. The guy never did sell it. It's now moored just off Oak Bay Marina.

So it was with great delight that I received a call from the owner of Shuttlecock who found my business card at R.V.Y.C. (I had posted it there with a note; "Looking for a Booth T-bird."
