Circles and Ocean Pearl go up

Circles on the beach and in the trees

Last night's gale claimed another two victims when Circles and Ocean Pearl were driven onto the beach. Neither had dragged their mooring buoys which means their lines broke. Sound familiar?

It was an extremely high tide too so not only were they well up on the beach, they were being hammered by the floating beach wood. No hull breaches were immediately visible but then it's hard to tell until they're righted.

I got a ride to work from the family so we drove by to ensure that T2 was still OK. She was. I returned at lunch to photograph the damage and inspect my mooring lines and dinghy.

'Trouper II Too' had taken a bit of a beating due to the storm surge and high tide. She was missing two of her cedar seats but fortunately I found them floating nearby. Nothing that a couple of screws and some silicone can't fix. I rowed out to T2 and all was well there. Returning to the beach I pulled the dinghy up as high as I could and returned to work.

Well, she needed a bottom job anyway.
